The Kano State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has terminated the service of five volunteer personnel, citing unethical behavior, unprofessionalism, and gross indiscipline.

The decision was approved by State Commandant Mohammed Hassan Agalama after disciplinary proceedings concluded that the volunteers had acted in ways that violated the Corps’ standards and values.

The dismissed volunteers are Yakubu Mubarak Yusuf, Isma’il Muhd, Adamu Auwalu, Abdulrazaq Suleiman, and Ahmad Sarki.

In a statement released on Tuesday by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, SC Ibrahim Idris Abdullahi, all uniforms, identification cards, and other official equipment issued to the affected individuals have been withdrawn and confiscated.

The command has instructed all Area Commanders, Divisional Officers, and other relevant officers across Kano State to take note of the development and to ensure that the dismissed individuals are neither recognized nor engaged in any capacity on behalf of the Corps.

Commandant Agalama reiterated the command’s zero‑tolerance stance on misconduct, warning that any personnel found engaging in acts that could bring the Corps into disrepute will face appropriate disciplinary action.

The command did not disclose the specific offenses committed by the dismissed volunteers.
