NNPCL cuts fuel prices a week after Dangote's petrol rate cut

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited lowered its premium motor spirit price a week after Dangote Refinery cut its petrol gantry price.

A market survey conducted by DAILY POST on Tuesday morning found that NNPCL retail outlets in Abuja and surrounding areas had reduced their petrol price to N1,260 per litre, a drop from N1,335.

The state‑owned company therefore lowered its fuel price by N75 per litre.

The new price is in effect at NNPCL retail outlets on Kubwa Expressway, Wuse Zone 6 (Berger), and Zone 4 in Abuja, according to DAILY POST.

On June 16, Dangote Refinery lowered its petrol gantry price to N1,175 per litre, prompting a nationwide decline in retail fuel prices amid falling crude oil costs.

Earlier, DAILY POST had reported that MRS and other Nigerian filling stations charged between N1,241 and N1,300 per litre across Abuja.
