Nigerian striker signs with Hungarian club Újpest FC

Former Flying Eagles forward Muhammad Tijani has completed a permanent move to Hungarian side Újpest FC, concluding his three‑year tenure at Slavia Prague.

During the second half of last season, Tijani left a strong impression while on loan at Hungarian club Nyíregyháza Spartacus.

The 25‑year‑old scored eight goals and provided three assists across 15 league matches for Nyíregyháza Spartacus.

He netted seven goals in 33 appearances in all competitions for Slavia Prague.

Tijani previously had loan spells with English third‑tier side Plymouth and Czech First League club Sigma Olomouc.

He was a member of the Flying Eagles squad that competed at the 2019 FIFA U‑20 World Cup.
