FC Midtjylland, a top club in the Danish Superliga, has re‑signed Nigerian striker Friday Etim from FC Fredericia, reports Completesports.com.
Etim has signed a new contract that will keep him at the club until the summer of 2029.
The 24‑year‑old initially joined FC Midtjylland from Portuguese side CD Mafra in the summer of 2025, but after just six months he was transferred to FC Fredericia in the January window.
During his time at Fredericia, Etim scored four goals and provided one assist across 24 appearances.
FC Midtjylland’s Sports Director, Kristian Bach Bak, expressed enthusiasm about the striker’s return.

‘We sold Etim to Fredericia when we realized there was too much competition for playing time here, but we never doubted his great potential, and he has demonstrated that over the past six months,’ Sports Director Kristian Bach Bak said on the club’s official website.
‘He has been a regular starter and a key contributor to Fredericia’s successful season, scoring goals and playing a role in the team’s pressing strategy. His development is seen as exciting,’ he added.
Etim expressed his excitement about returning to FC Midtjylland and wearing the club’s black and red colours again.
‘First of all, I really enjoyed my time at Fredericia. I felt welcomed and received plenty of playing time, which was vital for my development,’ he said.
