Nigerian midfielder completes transfer to Libyan club Al‑Ittihad SC

Nigerian midfielder Onuche Ogbelu has signed a permanent deal with Libyan giants Al‑Ittihad SC, according to DAILY POST.

Ogbelu, who departed Tunisian powerhouse Esperance after his contract expired, inked a three‑year agreement with Al‑Ittihad.

The 23‑year‑old joined Esperance from Nigerian Premier Football League side Nasarawa United in 2023.

He netted two goals in 54 league appearances for the Blood and Gold.

Ogbelu represented Nigeria at the 2023 Africa U‑20 Cup of Nations in Egypt, where the Flying Eagles finished third.

The defensive midfielder was among four players invited to train with the Super Eagles following the tournament.
