Nigeria Cricket Federation Announces 16‑Player Squad for Namibia Tri‑Series Tour

The Nigeria Cricket Federation (NCF) has announced a 16‑man squad for the upcoming Namibia Tour, where the YellowGreens will compete in a T20 and 50‑over Tri‑Series featuring hosts Namibia and Hong Kong China.

The squad, which departed Nigeria yesterday, is part of the national team’s ongoing preparations for future international assignments as the YellowGreens aim to build on recent performances and strengthen their standing on the global stage.

Captain Sulaimon Runsewe will lead the squad, steering Nigeria’s campaign against two formidable opponents in what promises to be a highly competitive series. The selected players blend experienced internationals with emerging talents, giving the technical crew a chance to assess development and team combinations in both formats.

A notable highlight of the announcement is the return of Chima Akachukwu and Miracle Akhigbe to the national team. Both players are re‑joining the YellowGreens after periods away and are expected to contribute their experience and quality as Nigeria pursues success in Namibia.
