The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has condemned the Federal High Court in Abuja’s decision to deregister the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and several other opposition parties.

In a statement released on Monday, the NDC urged Nigerians to unite in opposition to the court ruling, emphasizing that “an injury to one is an injury to all.”

Justice Peter Lifu of the Federal High Court ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to immediately deregister the ADC, the Accord Party, and other parties from participating in the 2027 general elections.

Responding to the order, the NDC said: “The court order must be condemned by all and sundry. An injury to one is an injury to all.”

“We stand in solidarity with these opposition parties and call on every Nigerian to resist the attempt by the rudderless APC to steer our nation toward a one‑party state,” the party added.
