Nasarawa United’s technical adviser, Mbwas Mangut, said his side will aim for a strong showing in the season’s final match.
Having missed out on qualification for continental competition, the Solid Miners have no further objectives in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).
The Lafia‑based club will now play for pride against Barau FC at the Sani Abacha Stadium in Kano.
“I am glad that my wards have improved tremendously from their first‑leg clash, even though Plateau United gave us a fight for our money, but it was a great match,” Mangut told the club’s media.
“We will fight to the last phase of the league campaign.”
Nasarawa United currently sit in fifth place on the NPFL table with 56 points.
