The Nasarawa Amazons secured a 2‑1 victory over the defending champions Bayelsa Queens in the second match of the Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Super Six playoffs held in Port Harcourt.
Neither side managed to score in the first half, although both teams created several clear‑cut chances.
Bayelsa Queens opened the scoring six minutes after the break through Chiamaka Ezekwugo.
In the final ten minutes, Nasarawa Amazons rallied to level the match. Farikikyen Moses equalised for Christopher Danjuma’s side in the 80th minute, and Ayatsea Hembafan finished the comeback with a stoppage‑time winner.
After the match, Nasarawa Amazons had accumulated six points from two games, while Bayelsa Queens had earned only one point from the same number of matches.
