NADCEL 2026: Brigade Commander urges troops to remain professional and diligent

Brigadier General A.M. Dikko, commander of the 14 Brigade of the Nigerian Army, lauded the unit’s soldiers for their steadfast dedication to national service and acknowledged the sacrifices they have made to maintain peace and security inside and outside the Brigade’s area of responsibility.

Speaking in Ohafia at a special Jumma’at prayer held for the 2026 Nigerian Army Day Celebration (NADCEL), Brigadier General Dikko urged all personnel to stay diligent, disciplined, and professional while carrying out their constitutional responsibilities.

He emphasized that dedication, loyalty, teamwork, and adherence to the Nigerian Army’s core values are essential for operational success.

Brigadier General Dikko urged the troops to keep supporting the vision and leadership of Chief of Army Staff Lt. General Waidi Shaibu, while upholding the highest standards of military ethics, discipline, and operational readiness.

He expressed confidence that officers and soldiers can remain resolute amid emerging security challenges, thereby preserving the honour and reputation of the Nigerian Army.

During the NADCEL celebration, the Imam Murtala Sabi delivered a sermon at the Central Mosque in Goodluck Ebele Jonathan Barracks, Ohafia, praising the virtues of righteousness, discipline, patience, gratitude, and complete reliance on Almighty Allah in all endeavors.

Special prayers were offered for lasting peace, unity, stability, and prosperity throughout Nigeria, and for the continued success of the 82 Division, 14 Brigade, and all formations and units of the Nigerian Army.
