Jose Mourinho has flown to Spain to complete his move to Real Madrid.

The 63‑year‑old reached a verbal agreement with Madrid president Florentino Perez before the club’s presidential election last weekend.

Perez’s victory over Enrique Riquelme means Mourinho will return to the Bernabéu after a 13‑year absence.

Mourinho is expected to sign a three‑year contract before he is officially introduced to the media.

Football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano wrote on X: “José Mourinho, in Madrid today ahead of his presentation as new Real Madrid head coach on a three‑year deal.”

Before his arrival, Madrid has already signed two defensive reinforcements, Ibrahima Konate from Liverpool and Denzel Dumfries from Inter Milan.
