New Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho has told the club that Dani Ceballos is not in his future plans.
As a result, Ceballos will leave the Bernabeu as a free agent this summer.
The Spain midfielder becomes the third player to depart after the expiration of his contract, following David Alaba and Dani Carvajal.
Ajax have already reached out to Ceballos in an effort to sign him.
Football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano posted on X: “Dani Ceballos to leave Real Madrid as a free agent. Decision made. Ceballos, ready for new chapter as he’s not part of Jose Mourinho’s plans. Real Betis is one of the clubs keen after Ajax tried in May, diarioas reports. It’s over between Real and Ceballos.”
