Marseille Leads the Search for Super Eagles Forward

Olympique Marseille, a Ligue 1 powerhouse, are now the frontrunners in the race to acquire Sevilla forward Akor Adams for the upcoming summer transfer window.

The club is reportedly pursuing the Nigerian striker as a possible successor to Mason Greenwood, who is anticipated to depart before the next season commences.

Sevilla Willing To Sell Striker

Sevilla has indicated openness to offers for Adams, with the potential sale expected to alleviate the club’s financial strain and generate capital for squad upgrades.

Spanish outlet OrgulloBiri reports that Sevilla has set a €30 million price tag on the player.

If the transfer materialises, Sevilla would realise a significant profit, having acquired him from Montpellier for €5.5 million in January 2025.

At the reported fee, the sale would rank as Sevilla’s third‑most expensive in history, following Jules Koundé’s €50 million transfer to Barcelona and Diego Carlos’ €31 million move to Aston Villa.

Adams Not Interested In Saudi Move

Saudi clubs have also shown interest, yet the 26‑year‑old appears to prefer remaining in Europe, a stance that could rule out a Gulf transfer.

Last season, the 26‑year‑old finished as Sevilla’s leading scorer, netting 10 goals and providing three assists across 32 league matches.
