Man City Beats Palace, Keeping Pressure on Arsenal

Manchester City narrowed the gap to two points behind Premier League leaders Arsenal after a 3‑0 win over Crystal Palace, according to RTE.

In the first half, Antoine Semenyo and Omar Marmoush each scored from passes by Phil Foden, and a late goal from Savinho sealed a third win for City, preserving their slim title chances at the Etihad on Wednesday.

With two matches remaining for both title‑contending sides, City still have a possibility of claiming their seventh league title in nine years.

However, after Pep Guardiola introduced six changes and the match was played in a subdued atmosphere, it seemed the team accepted that the odds were against them and turned their attention to the FA Cup final.

City had been energetic against Brentford on Saturday, but Arsenal's win over West Ham on Sunday appeared to shift the overall mood.

City may have benefited from playing a Palace team already focused on the Conference League final, but this advantage is unlikely to carry over when the Eagles face Arsenal next.
