Former Chelsea and Leicester City manager Enzo Maresca has signed a three‑year contract to become the new manager of Manchester City.

Maresca will take over from Pep Guardiola, who oversaw the club’s most recent match—a 2‑1 Premier League defeat to Aston Villa on Sunday.

Football transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano posted on X on Tuesday: “Enzo Maresca has already signed a three‑year deal as Manchester City’s new manager. Agreement until June 2029 and a new chapter to start soon at #MCFC, with Maresca fully involved in the transfer strategy. Here we go, 100% confirmed.”

Since leaving Stamford Bridge in January, Maresca has remained unemployed and has declined other offers while awaiting the City appointment.
