Malawi unveils provisional squad as Super Falcons' group opponent for WAFCON 2026

Malawi head coach Lovemore Fazili has announced a provisional squad of 32 players for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.

The Scorchers will begin training for the tournament at Mpira Village in Blantyre on Sunday.

Fazili has kept the core group of players who have represented the team throughout the year.

Malawi will make its first appearance at WAFCON in Morocco.

The Scorchers have been drawn into Group C, alongside defending champions Nigeria, Zambia, and Egypt.

In their opening match, Malawi will play the Super Falcons at Al Madina Stadium in Rabat on Monday, 28 July.
