LaLiga: Mourinho Confirms Return to Real Madrid, Explains Reasons

Jose Mourinho has confirmed that his deep affection for Real Madrid is the main reason behind his decision to return as the club’s manager.

The 63‑year‑old has already been officially appointed as the head coach of Los Blancos for the 2026/2027 season.

This will be Mourinho’s second spell with the La Liga giants, after previously leading the team from 2010 to 2013.

During his first tenure at the Bernabéu, he secured the La Liga title, the Copa del Rey, and the Spanish Super Cup.

He is now set to take charge of a squad that has not won any trophies in the past two seasons.

Yet, his passion for the club outweighs the challenges ahead.

“I love Real Madrid, and this is the reason why I’m coming back. I don’t deny it,” Mourinho told reporters.
