When a demanding task is set, the person who possesses the necessary experience is usually selected to lead the team that will carry it out. Personal feelings are set aside in choosing a leader when the goal is to complete the task quickly and efficiently.

Consequently, the selection of Kingsley Ogundu Chinda, widely known as O.K. Chinda, to head the All Progressive Congress (APC) governorship campaign in Rivers State for the 2027 general elections should not surprise those familiar with him.

Rt. Hon. Kingsley Chinda has established himself as a prominent figure in Nigeria’s political and legal arenas.

Representing the Obio/Akpor Federal Constituency of Rivers State in the House of Representatives, Chinda has earned a reputation as a seasoned lawmaker with strong grassroots ties.

This explains why many political observers believe that Rivers State and its people will experience rapid growth and development with him as governor.

Those who hold this view argue that he has demonstrated leadership capability and possesses a track record that is evident to all.

As an accomplished lawyer and seasoned legislator, his credentials are clear. His extensive experience and measurable contributions to the growth and development of Rivers State speak for themselves.

Indigenes of Rivers State and political stakeholders, when discussing Hon. Chinda’s emergence in the recent party primaries, said Rt. Hon. Kingsley Ogundu is eminently qualified for the job. They urged voters to consider the character, capacity, and performance of the candidates for governor.

They also appealed to voters to support him in the upcoming elections and to work with him if he wins to reunite Rivers State.

With the broad party coalition currently established in Rivers State and limited opposition from other parties, many political analysts and observers firmly believe that Hon. Kingsley Ogundu Chinda will be elected governor of Rivers State.
