Kano Governor Warns Pilgrims to Avoid Vices During the 2026 Hajj.

Kano State Governor Abba Yusuf warned residents planning to travel for the 2026 Hajj that they should avoid any misconduct while in the Holy Land, urging them to act as positive representatives of Kano State and Nigeria.

The warning was delivered to the first group of 560 pilgrims scheduled for an airlift to Saudi Arabia for the 2026 Hajj.

In a statement released on Saturday by his Chief Press Secretary Mustapha Muhammad, Governor Yusuf urged the pilgrims to fear God and maintain exemplary conduct throughout the journey.

He expressed confidence that the pilgrims would behave properly, noting that the state government had arranged adequate support for their welfare.

Governor Yusuf also announced that medical staff had been deployed and healthcare provisions were in place to care for any pilgrim who might become ill during the trip.

He added that all necessary logistics had been organized both in Kano and in the Holy Land to ensure a smooth, hassle‑free Hajj experience.

The governor further revealed that the Emir of Gaya, Dr Aliyu Ibrahim Abdulkadir, has been appointed as the state Amirul Hajj, with the Emir of Karaye, Alhaji Muhammad Muhammad Maharaz, serving as his deputy.
