The African Democratic Congress (ADC) governorship candidate for Jigawa State, Sabo Nakudu, has declared that he will leave Nigeria if the All Progressives Congress (APC) wins the 2027 general election without improving citizens’ living conditions.

Nakudu made the statement while meeting members of the ADC youth wing in Jigawa State.

The candidate expressed concern about the growing hardship across the country and warned that young Nigerians would continue to suffer unless urgent steps are taken to address the nation’s challenges.

He said that the inability of successive governments to provide basic needs has left many citizens frustrated and uncertain about the future.

According to Nakudu, access to essential services such as clean water, electricity, education and security should not remain mere campaign promises decades after Nigeria attained independence.

He added that it is disappointing that many communities still struggle to obtain potable water and a stable power supply, and that governments should be evaluated by the impact of their policies on the daily lives of ordinary people.

“I will leave Nigeria if the APC wins the 2027 general elections. The younger generation will bear the greatest consequences if the current situations of unemployment, insecurity and poor infrastructure persist.”

“Don’t distance yourselves from politics, but participate actively in the democratic process. Only leaders who are committed to development and accountability should be entrusted with public offices,” he said.
