He made the announcement on Saturday via his social‑media accounts.

According to DAILY POST, the late wife had been fighting cancer before her death.

In a short, emotional post, Fayose wrote: “Rest in peace my darling wife,”

He also posted a photograph of her and added: “Odaro oyibo mi,” a Yoruba phrase that translates to “Good night, my white woman.”
