Ikorodu City and El-Kanemi Warriors Reach Federation Cup Final

Ikorodu City will face El‑Kanemi Warriors in the final of the 2025 President Federation Cup after both teams won their semi‑final matches.

Three‑time champions El‑Kanemi Warriors secured a 3‑1 victory over Wikki Tourists at Muhammadu Dikko Stadium in Katsina to book their place in the final. The Maiduguri‑based club will be appearing in their second Federation Cup final in as many years.

Ikorodu City advanced to the final for the first time in their history after edging past Nasarawa United 4‑2 on penalties. The semi‑final encounter finished 1‑1 in regulation time. Ayoola Ibrahim gave Ikorodu City the lead in the 11th minute, but Nasarawa United equalised five minutes before the break.

The winner of the President Federation Cup will earn Nigeria’s slot in the CAF Confederation Cup next season.

Women Set For Quarter‑Final

The women’s competition reaches the quarter‑final stage on Thursday, with two matches to be played at Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin City.

Sunshine Queens of Akure will face Confluence Queens of Lokoja in the earlier encounter starting at 1 p.m., while multi‑titlists Rivers Angels take on FC Robo Queens from 4 p.m.

In Aba, Heartland Queens of Owerri will play Ibom Angels from Uyo, and Nasarawa Amazons will confront the vastly‑improved Edo Queens in Anyigba.
