Benue State Governor Hyacinth Alia said he favors action over excessive talk during a political address in his hometown of Vandeikya Local Government Area on Tuesday.

He stressed that his leadership approach prioritises deeds rather than lengthy public statements.

In a video lasting about 20 minutes and 25 seconds, he said he “does not talk much” but prefers to “act using his shoulders.”

He used the platform to warn individuals who are allegedly receiving certain benefits to avoid working against the interests of the Vandeikya people ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The comments come as political alignments and grassroots mobilisation intensify across Benue State, with discussions about the upcoming electoral cycle gaining momentum.

Although the governor did not name anyone in his speech, the remarks have sparked reactions online, with supporters and critics offering differing interpretations.
