Gov. Lawal reshuffles cabinet, reassigns three commissioners

Zamfara State Governor Dauda Lawal has approved a minor cabinet reshuffle that involves three commissioners, as part of an effort to reposition key ministries for improved service delivery.

The change was announced by the Secretary to the State Government, Abubakar Nakwada, in a statement released to journalists.

Under the reshuffle, Abdulrahaman Tumbido will move from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry to the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources. Kasimu Yahya Kaura will transfer from the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources to the Ministry of Youth and Sports Development. Tasiu Musa Shinkafi will relocate from the Ministry of Youth and Sports Development to the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.

According to the state government, the redeployment is intended to enhance efficiency and strengthen the implementation of government programmes across the affected ministries.

The reshuffle takes effect immediately, with the governor directing the affected commissioners to complete all handover processes within one week.

Lawal also urged the commissioners to bring renewed commitment and dedication to their new assignments in the discharge of their responsibilities.
