Galatasaray Rejects N195bn Bid for Osimhen, Stays No Deal

Galatasaray has once more turned down a record‑breaking bid for Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen.

Fotomac reports that agents submitted a €125 million (≈N195 billion) offer for the striker on behalf of an unnamed club.

Galatasaray president Dursan Ozbek, however, has stated that Osimhen is not for sale.

“We won’t sell him unless he wants to leave,” he was quoted by Fotomac to have said.

He had previously said the club did not acquire the 2023 African Player of the Year from Napoli last summer in order to sell him.

Meanwhile, Osimhen is believed to have advised Galatasaray to sign fellow Super Eagles forward Tolu Arokodare as a backup striker for next season, according to Soccernet.ngreports.

The reigning Turkish champions are expected to part ways with Mauro Icardi this summer. The 33‑year‑old striker has been with Cimbom since 2023 and has been an important player, but his departure will leave a significant void in the attack.

Although Galatasaray has not been linked with many strikers yet, they may soon add another Nigerian forward in Arokodare.

Galatasaray enthusiast Burak Eren reported yesterday that Osimhen wants Arokodare in Istanbul.

The two Nigerian strikers share a good relationship. Osimhen is highly respected within the Super Eagles squad for his quality and achievements, and Arokodare has previously cited the former Napoli player as an inspiration.

Arokodare is coming off a disappointing debut campaign at Wolves.

He joined Wolves from Belgian club Genk in a €26 million deal last summer, but he endured a difficult season, registering only six goals and two assists in 38 appearances. Wolves were relegated from the Premier League after finishing at the bottom of the table.
