Friendly: Wiśniewski praises Poland’s effort in draw with Super Eagles

Poland defender Przemysław Wiśniewski said his team earned a share of the spoils in Wednesday night’s friendly against Nigeria, according to the DAILY POST.

Jan Urban’s side fought back twice in the 2‑2 draw at the 58,000‑capacity Stadion PGE Narodowy in Warsaw.

The hosts created the most chances in the match but were stopped by Nigeria goalkeeper Maduka Okoye and by their own poor finishing.

It was a positive showing from the Red and Whites, who had lost 2‑0 to Ukraine the week before.

Terem Moffi and Paul Onuachu were on target for the Super Eagles, while Kacper Potuski and Wiśniewski scored for Poland.

Wiśniewski said they defended better against Nigeria than they did in the previous game against Ukraine.

“Nigeria didn’t have many scoring opportunities in the first half, apart from scoring. We analyzed the match against Ukraine closely and will try to draw conclusions from Nigeria as well,” he said.

“We conceded two goals, but overall we were better defensively,” Wiśniewski added after the game.
