Tunisia’s final warm‑up match before the 2026 FIFA World Cup ended in a 5‑0 loss to Belgium, a result that left the Carthage Eagles without a win in their last three outings—one draw and two defeats.
Belgium opened the scoring midway through the first half when Arsenal forward Leandro Trossard found the net. Charles de Ketelaere doubled the lead in the 53rd minute. Shortly after the hour mark, Tunisia’s midfielder Ismael Gharbi was sent off for a second caution, leaving the side a player down.
With a numerical advantage, Belgium expanded their advantage. Kevin de Bruyne and Dodi Lukebakio each added a goal before Raskin completed the tally.
Tunisia will compete in Group F of the tournament, alongside Sweden, Japan and the Netherlands. The North Africans are scheduled to open their campaign against Sweden on 15 June.
It will be Tunisia’s seventh World Cup appearance, following their debut in 1978 in Argentina. The team has yet to advance beyond the group stage in any edition.
