Former SGF Babachir Lawal Leaves ADC and Criticizes Atiku

Former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Babachir Lawal, has resigned from the African Democratic Congress, ADC.

Lawal said he left the ADC because Atiku Abubakar was chosen as the party’s presidential candidate, and he believes President Bola Tinubu is a better option than the former vice president.

He claims the ADC presidential primary results were manipulated to favor Atiku.

The ex‑SGF stated he will not participate in what he describes as the former vice president’s rigging machine for the 2027 presidential election.

Lawal called Atiku incompetent, labeling him a tribal and religious bigot who should not be close to the presidency.
