Mahmut Uslu, a candidate for a board seat at Fenerbahçe and a supporter of presidential hopeful Aziz Yıldırım, said that any club would be eager to sign Victor Osimhen. He added, however, that the Nigerian striker is unlikely to move to the Yellow Canaries.

Osimhen had a standout season with Galatasaray, helping the club win the Süper Lig and cementing his reputation as one of Europe’s most sought‑after forwards. The former African Footballer of the Year returned to the Lions last summer after Galatasaray activated his €75 million release clause, a move that made him the most expensive player ever signed by a Turkish club.

Speaking about the Galatasaray striker, Uslu called Osimhen one of the most influential players in Turkish football and stressed that Fenerbahçe must build a squad capable of competing against him. He told HT Spor, as reported by Kıbrıs: “We will construct a squad that can counter a team featuring Osimhen. If we make Kadıköy invincible, we will be champions.”

When asked which Galatasaray player Fenerbahçe should target, Uslu mentioned Osimhen but dismissed the possibility of a transfer between the Istanbul rivals. “Who wouldn’t desire a player like Osimhen? However, he will not be joining us. His future destinations are evident,” he said.

Osimhen has recently been linked with clubs such as Real Madrid, Paris Saint‑Germain, and Arsenal, even though he remains under contract with Galatasaray until June 2029. In all competitions for the Turkish champions, he has scored 59 goals and provided 16 assists in 74 appearances.
