Chelsea are preparing to approve their first summer transfer under new manager Xabi Alonso.
BBC Sport reports that the club is willing to sell goalkeeper Filip Jorgensen, who has expressed a desire to leave Stamford Bridge.
Jorgensen joined the Premier League side from Villarreal two seasons ago.
The 24‑year‑old shot‑stopper was expected to challenge for the number one spot with Robert Sanchez, but he made only 11 Premier League appearances in that time.
Although Alonso’s arrival could alter Jorgensen’s prospects, the Danish keeper has already said he wants to depart this summer for more regular playing time elsewhere.
Chelsea previously blocked a potential exit for Jorgensen in the January transfer window, but the club is now open to a sale, with European and English clubs reportedly interested in a deal.
