Enugu North By‑Election: Alleged Thug Seizes Result Sheet; Materials Still Missing at Udenu Polling Units

During the Enugu North bye‑election, an incident reportedly occurred at the Umuokara village hall in Orba, Udenu local government area. Witnesses claim that a person identified as “Okadigbo,” whom they describe as a thug, allegedly seized a result sheet from the polling station.

According to the presiding officer at the unit, the result sheet remained in the possession of the polling officials. Nevertheless, several polling units in Udenu—specifically Orba, Imillike, and Udunedem—had not received necessary election materials by 9:45 am.

In the Amube Orba center, which served as the voting venue for former Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, the required materials were still pending arrival at 10:05 am.
