Former Crystal Palace striker Clinton Morrison has cautioned England manager Thomas Tuchel that the national team has little chance of winning the 2026 FIFA World Cup without the “brilliant” striker Harry Kane.
Tuchel is working to end England’s 60‑year wait for a World Cup title, the last of which came in 1966, the tournament’s inaugural edition.
“Let me tell you something, if Harry Kane is not fit or not available, England have no chance of winning the World Cup,” Morrison told Free Bets, according to Metro. “That is my honest opinion.”
“He’s had an outstanding season for Bayern Munich. Brilliant striker, brilliant captain, leads by example. He is the key to everything England want to do.”
Kane had a stellar campaign with Bayern Munich last season, helping them secure the Bundesliga title.
