Emeka Ike says Lere Olayinka should be jailed, according to Fayose.

Businessman Isaac Fayose has claimed that Lere Olayinka, a media aide to Federal Capital Territory Minister Nyesom Wike, ought to be imprisoned for disclosing Nollywood actor Emeka Ike's data from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) server.

Fayose voiced these remarks in a video captured by DAILY POST on X, in which he expressed regret over Nigeria's condition.

“We were all here a few weeks ago when Lere Olayinka, an aide to Wike, posted Emeka Ike’s details from INEC records.”

“Up till now, no action has been taken against him, and he is still walking free. In a lawful country, Lere would have been in jail by now,” he said.

He attributed the persistence of banditry, kidnapping and terrorism in Nigeria to the country's lawlessness, observing that different people appear to be subject to different legal standards.

Emeka Ike has previously stated that he felt unsafe for the first time in his life after his INEC data was exposed.

In response, the actor has filed a lawsuit against INEC and Lere Olayinka for the alleged unauthorized release of his voter registration details.
