The Lagos State African Democratic Congress (ADC) governorship candidate Gbadebo Rhodes‑Vivour urged the All Progressives Congress (APC) to abandon violence and intimidation if it claims to be serving Nigerians well.

Rhodes‑Vivour made the remark during an interview on News Central Television.

He said the APC’s long‑standing dominance in Lagos is facing increasing scrutiny.

“If the APC government believes that it is doing well for the people, it will not rely on thugs, violence, and intimidation,” he said.

“The level of insecurity has reached the Southwest. President Bola Tinubu has been very callous in his remarks, and that echoes among the people in Lagos who support his hegemony.”

“They have been part of the support structure for the mafia‑type cartel that we call the APC in Lagos State, which has been ruining and stealing from our common wealth in ways that are unprecedented,” he added.
