Gloopro, Africa’s leading enterprise e‑procurement and Procurement‑as‑a‑Service (PaaS) provider, will host the Digital Procurement Africa (DPA) Summit 2026 at the Lagos Eko Hotel and Suites on May 26.

The event will convene C‑suite executives, policymakers, procurement heads and supply‑chain leaders from across the continent for a high‑level discussion on the future of enterprise procurement in Africa.

Titled “Accelerating Procurement Transformation for Large Enterprises in the Digital Era,” the summit aims to tackle the unstructured supply‑chain systems that prevail in many African countries and to create pathways toward a more structured framework. It is also designed as an executive forum to address the challenges facing African enterprises and to unlock the full value of digital procurement.

At a press conference in Lagos announcing the summit, Gloopro CEO Dr. Olumide Olusanya said Africa’s procurement ecosystem is at a defining moment, with digital transformation at its core. “The DPA Summit 2026 is a call to the leaders shaping the future of procurement across public and private sectors to come together, share what is genuinely working on the ground, and commit to the practical shifts that our continent now requires,” he said.

Olusanya added that international and local procurement experts will explain what digital procurement means and its potential impact on organisations that are using it as a strategic lever to achieve business objectives.

He also highlighted the summit’s benefits, noting that speakers will share experiences that could be eye‑opening for those unaware of the significant developments in the procurement sector and for those who believe Nigeria still lags behind.

According to him, the summit will provide a platform for Nigeria and the rest of Africa to transition from unstructured to structured procurement supply‑chain systems.

Strategic event planner for the DPA Summit, Remi Ibitoye, said: “The DPA summit is coming at a time when synergy and collaboration are recognised as essential for success. The vision is to bring procurement executives together in a curated conversation where they can examine the current state of procurement in Africa and chart its future direction. Nigerians and Africans must move in that direction to make procurement a true strategic lever for business profitability.”

Confirmed participants include executives from leading multinationals, large enterprises and public institutions.

Sub‑themes and focused case sessions on the agenda include: The hidden costs of manual procurement systems and plugging enterprise leakage; From Gatekeeper to Value Creator: Reclaiming executive time through automation; and Leveraging digital procurement as a governance tool for tail‑spend and decentralised purchasing.
