Court adjourns rapper Odumodublvck’s assault trial for a second time.

On Tuesday, a court in Abuja adjourned the assault and battery trial of rapper Tochukwu Ojogwu, known as “Odumodublvck”, to hearings scheduled for Oct 13 and Oct 14.

During the resumed hearing, the claimant’s counsel, Uchenna Ojembe, appeared and stated that the case was ready for hearing.

Ojembe informed Justice Adeyemi Ajayi that claimant Ogbogiri Okey Levi, known as “Kraziecent”, the sole witness, was present in court and ready to proceed.

Defence counsel Damilare Adeojo informed the court that he had filed a motion on notice dated Nov 25 2025 and had served it to the claimant’s counsel.

Adeojo requested another adjournment to allow him time to prepare his defence, noting that he had already urged the claimant’s counsel to consider the request.

Ojembe opposed the adjournment request, citing the defendant’s multiple previous adjournments.

He prayed that, if the court granted the adjournment, it should be on the condition that the defendant’s counsel pay N 500 000.

Adeojo objected to the N 500 000 cost and requested an adjournment without any fee.

After hearing the submissions, Justice Ajayi urged the claimant’s counsel to extend professional courtesy to his colleague.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Kraziecent filed the suit against Odumodublvck over an alleged assault and battery that occurred at a public event in December 2024.

The claimant alleges that the defendant assaulted and damaged his iPhone 15 Pro Max without provocation while the claimant was recording at the event, causing serious emotional distress.

Kraziecent is seeking an order for medical expenses, a public apology on the defendant’s social media and on two national dailies, and damages of N 2 billion. (NAN)
