Bayer Leverkusen sporting director Simon Rofles believes that Victor Boniface can rediscover his best form at the club, DAILY POST reports.
Boniface spent the 2025/26 season on loan at Werder Bremen after failing to secure a permanent transfer to Serie A giants AC Milan.
The Nigeria international made just 11 appearances for the Greens, struggling with knee problems.
The striker has returned to Leverkusen after Werder Bremen declined the option to sign him permanently.
Rofles said the club will do everything possible to help Boniface regain top form.
“The knee looks pretty good today. But the weight is a bit of his weak spot. It’s our goal to get him back in top form.”
“Then he has a chance to play for many teams,” Rolfes said in an interview with Sport Bild, as reported by Rheinpfalz.
Boniface is expected to resume pre‑season training at Leverkusen next week.
