Bayer Leverkusen have increased their interest in Rangers defender Emmanuel Fernandez, DAILY POST reports.
According to TEAMtalk, the Bundesliga club are keen to add the Nigeria international to their squad this summer.
The former German champions have made fresh contacts with Rangers to secure the deal, knowing that other clubs are also interested in Fernandez.
Leverkusen’s Bundesliga rivals Borussia Dortmund have also been monitoring the centre‑back.
Premier League clubs Chelsea, Arsenal, West Ham United, and Everton have also been linked with Fernandez.
The 24‑year‑old had a remarkable campaign with Rangers after arriving from League One club Peterborough United last summer.
The Nigeria international was named Rangers’ Player of the Season and was also included in the PFA Team of the Season.
He is valued at around €25 million by the Scottish Premiership giants.
