Barcelona submits €100 million bid for Julian Álvarez

Barcelona have formally offered €100 million to Atlético Madrid for Julian Alvarez.

The proposal is a straight‑cash deal with no add‑ons or player exchanges.

Football transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano said Atlético reacted negatively to the approach within the past 24 hours, citing concerns about the timing and structure of the bid.

Although the clubs have not yet reached an agreement, the negotiations remain open.

Romano posted on X: “Barcelona send first official proposal to Atlético Madrid for Julián Álvarez worth €100m. No add‑ons, no players involved. Atlético, not happy about the situation over last 24h — but Julián has already asked to leave.”
