Babachir Lawal Resigns From ADC, Criticises Atiku’s Victory at ADC Primary

Former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Babachir Lawal, has announced his resignation from the All Progressives Congress (ADC) after Atiku Abubakar was selected as the party’s presidential candidate.

Lawal said that President Bola Tinubu would make a better president than the former vice‑president.

He claimed that the results of the ADC presidential primary were engineered to favor Atiku and stated that he would not participate in the former vice‑president’s alleged rigging scheme for the 2027 presidential election.

Lawal repeated that the primary outcomes were pre‑written to benefit Atiku and that he would refuse to be part of the former vice‑president’s rigging machine in the 2027 presidential election.
