Atiku Wins ADC Presidential Primary in Zamfara

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has emerged victorious in the African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential primary held in Zamfara State.

The result was announced by the ADC primary election committee chairman and Returning Officer, Muhammad Musa, on Monday at the state collation centre, Command Guests House, Gusau.

Speaking to reporters after the declaration, Musa explained that the election was carried out across 147 wards in all 14 local government areas of the state.

He noted that the ADC’s registered membership in Zamfara numbered 63,404, while 61,137 votes were cast.

According to the official tally, Atiku Abubakar received 60,500 votes. Former Minister of Transportation Rotimi Amaechi secured 191 votes, and Mohammed Hayatu‑Deen obtained 446 votes.

“The process was conducted in line with the party guidelines and the outcome was declared based on the total number of votes collated,” Musa said.

He congratulated all participants and urged party members to stay united in preparation for the upcoming general elections.
