Arsenal's Ferdinand Promises Team Will Recover After UCL Final Loss

Legendary Manchester United defender Eric Ferdinand has urged Arsenal to recover from their UEFA Champions League final loss.

Arsenal were again denied a Champions League title after losing to Paris Saint‑Germain on penalties in Budapest, Hungary.

After taking a sixth‑minute lead through Kai Havertz, PSG equalised in the second half with a penalty from Ousmane Dembélé before the Parisians won 4‑3 on penalties.

It marks back‑to‑back Champions League triumphs for PSG, making them the most successful French club in the competition.

Reflecting on Arsenal’s campaign, Ferdinand urged the Gunners to keep the bigger picture in mind.

“You’ve got to reflect and look at this,” Ferdinand said on the Arsenal News Channel. “Yes, there’s disappointment and yes, it’s hard to take on the night, to lose on penalties, it’s difficult. But you know what? The bigger picture is you’ve won the Premier League. What an achievement that is, 22 years and you’ve got over that hurdle.”

“This is a new era now, this is a new team, they’re going to write their own history in the club’s history and I think this is a period of time now, the next three years at least, I think you’re going to be fighting for the biggest honours on the planet. Yes, it’s a tough one to take but go back to London and celebrate that Premier League with your fans.”
