Arsenal Is the Only Realistic Option for Julian Alvarez's Transfer

Arsenal is considered the only realistic destination for Atletico Madrid striker Julian Alvarez this summer.

The Sun reports that the Argentina international is not looking to move to the Premier League club in North London.

Alvarez has been linked with both Arsenal and Barcelona during the transfer window.

Barcelona’s initial bid of £86.4 million was turned down by Atletico Madrid, leaving the situation at a “standstill” between the two La Liga clubs, according to the Sun.

Diego Simeone’s side appear confident that Alvarez will remain in the Spanish capital for the foreseeable future.

The 26‑year‑old joined Atletico Madrid from Manchester City for £81.5 million two years ago.

Whether Alvarez will depart Atletico this summer for a new club remains to be seen.
