Arsenal confirmed on Tuesday that Max Porter has departed his position as the under‑21s head coach to become the assistant manager at English club Stoke City.
Porter was appointed head coach of Arsenal’s under‑21s in August, guiding the side to a 14th‑place finish in Premier League 2 during the previous season.
He joined the Gunners in July 2017 as the under‑9s coach and subsequently led several other age groups, including the under‑13s, under‑17s and under‑19s.
Throughout his tenure at the Emirates Stadium, Porter laid a solid foundation for many of Arsenal’s emerging talents.
“Everyone at Arsenal would like to thank Max for his contribution to the club and wish him and his family all the best for the future,” the club’s statement read.
