According to the National Bureau of Statistics, Nigeria’s headline inflation climbed to 15.69 % in April 2026, a rise of 0.31 percentage point from 15.38 % in March.
This rate is still below the 26.82 % recorded in April 2025.
On a month‑on‑month basis, headline inflation fell to 2.13 % in April, down from 4.18 % in March, indicating a slowing pace of price increases even as the annual trend remains upward.
