The All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders in Taraba State’s North Senatorial District have cautioned against any effort to reverse the results of the recent senatorial primary.
In a press release issued on Monday, party figures Abubakar Umar Ibrahim and Bilal Galadima issued the warning.
APC held its primary election on 19 May 2026.
The outcome sparked controversy, with Kabir Bello and Senator Isa Lau both claiming victory.
At present, the APC national committee has not yet announced the official winner of the senatorial contest.
Addressing party leaders, Ibrahim and Galadima urged the ruling party to honor the electorate’s choice and recognize the legitimate winner.
“It has come to our attention that certain individuals within the party are allegedly orchestrating clandestine moves to undermine and overturn the credible outcome of the Taraba North primary,” they said. “Any attempt to alter, manipulate, or subvert this duly declared mandate will not only violate party rules but will also erode public confidence in our democratic process,” they added.
