APC Chief Ayekooto Says Remi Tinubu’s Viral Advice Isn’t for Yahoo Boys or Obidients

APC chieftain Ayekooto Akindele stated that the business advice given by Nigerian First Lady Remi Tinubu was not intended for internet fraudsters or supporters of 2027 presidential candidate Peter Obi.

In a viral video, President Bola Tinubu’s wife advised women on small and medium‑scale businesses, noting that setting up a small venture such as an akara‑frying shop is not difficult.

She also suggested that women could sustain themselves by selling roasted corn and Kulikuli.

The video sparked backlash from netizens, who accused the First Lady of condescension toward unemployed Nigerian youths.

In response, Ayekooto Akindele posted on his official X account on Saturday, defending Remi and asserting that the advice was aimed at the poor.

According to the APC chieftain, “every petty business Remi Tinubu mentioned is patronised daily by virtually every home in Nigeria.”
