AFCON 2027 Draw: Super Eagles placed in Pot A

According to the DAILY POST, Nigeria’s Super Eagles have been assigned to Pot A for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualification draw.

The draw is scheduled to take place at the headquarters of the Egypt Football Association (EFA) on Tuesday.

Other prominent teams such as Morocco, Senegal, Algeria, Egypt, Côte d’Ivoire and Tunisia have also been placed in Pot A.

A total of 48 national teams will compete in the qualifying rounds for a tournament that will be jointly hosted by Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda.

The top two teams from each group will secure a berth in the final competition.

Qualification matches will run from 19 June to 17 July 2027.
