ABUJA — Sunday Adenuga, the National Chairman of the Because of Our Tomorrow (BOOT) Party, has been selected as the party’s presidential candidate for the 2027 general elections.
Adenuga was returned unopposed in the party’s presidential primary, as no other aspirants contested the ticket, thereby securing the flagbearer position.
In his acceptance speech, Adenuga thanked party members for their confidence in his leadership and pledged to initiate a “paradigm shift” in governance if elected President.
He highlighted the country’s pressing challenges, including insecurity, rising cost of living, limited access to basic needs and deteriorating welfare conditions, arguing that urgent and transformative leadership is required.
Adenuga said the BOOT Party conducted its primaries using an electronic voting system, describing it as transparent, seamless and credible.
He praised party stakeholders nationwide for ensuring the smooth conduct of the exercise.
“On behalf of the National Leadership of the BOOT Party, I extend my heartfelt appreciation to our leaders, members, electoral officials, aspirants, and supporters across the country for the successful conduct of our party primaries,” he said.
Adenuga noted that the exercise marked a key milestone in the party’s effort to build a stronger political movement grounded in fiduciary responsibility, obedience and service to Nigerians.
He also commended state and local government party structures for their contributions to the primaries, describing their efforts as instrumental to the party’s internal democratic process.
“To all aspirants, whether successful or not, I commend your courage and dedication. Democracy requires competition, and every participant has contributed to strengthening our party,” he added.
Adenuga urged BOOT Party members to remain united and focused ahead of the general elections, stressing the need to set aside internal differences and work collectively for electoral success.
“Our strength lies in our unity, and our success will depend on our ability to rally behind our candidates and our shared vision for One Working Nigeria,” he said.
