Abaribe Wins LP Nomination for Sixth‑Term Bid; Nwokocha, Ogah, and Others Also Advance

Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe, who represents Abia South, secured the Labour Party senatorial ticket for a sixth‑term bid on Saturday.

Abaribe, who won his first term in 2023 on the All Progressives Grand Alliance platform, switched to the Labour Party after a brief period with the ADP.

Senator Darlington Nwokocha, who was displaced at the Court of Appeal by incumbent Senator Austin Akobundu, also emerged as the Labour Party candidate for Abia Central.

Amobi Ogah and all serving House of Representatives members of the Labour Party from Abia secured their return tickets.
